Since its first recorded performance on April 7, 1962, the International Choral Festival (ICF) has demonstrated the power of music to unite and inspire. Hosted by the Okanogan Valley Esquires in Omak, WA, the inaugural concert 56 years ago was deemed "international" thanks to guest performances by two groups from British Columbia - the Oliver Choral Society and the Trail Male Chorus. The American participants included the Wenatchee Apollo Club and Yakima Camerata Club. This celebration of singing is typically held each spring, alternating between Canada and the United States, as different choirs serve as hosts.
